This trail is part of the Florida Trailwalker Program. Goethe State Forest has more than 15 different natural communities and may contain the largest tract of contiguous, old-growth longleaf pine flatwoods in the state. It also features scrubby flatwoods, dome swamp, sandhill, and basin swamp. Buck Island Prong Trail is 1.8 miles.
Located on the west side of CR 337 just south of the Apex Trailhead/Forest office.
